Best Sugar Free Electrolyte PowderSix criteria, and our own numbers in full
We make one of these, so we’re not going to pretend to be a neutral review site. What we can do is give you the criteria we’d use ourselves and print our label numbers next to each one, so you can hold any brand — including this one — to the same test.

01
Sodium level, in mg and %DV
The number that separates an everyday drink from a race-day drink. Published labels on popular sticks run from about 330mg to 1,000mg per serving. Ask what your actual day looks like before buying the highest number on the shelf.
Hydrate Heroes®: 88mg — 4% of the Daily Value
02
Which sweetener replaces the sugar
Sugar-free is a category, not a recipe. Sucralose, aspartame, erythritol, monk fruit and stevia behave differently in taste and in preference. Decide which ones you're happy drinking daily, then filter.
Hydrate Heroes®: Organic stevia leaf extract — zero sugar, zero sucralose
03
Calories per serving
Sugar-free does not automatically mean calorie-free. A single-digit number keeps hydration out of your food budget.
Hydrate Heroes®: Only 5 calories per stick
04
Is the full panel published?
A brand that shows every ingredient and every milligram, for every flavor, before you buy is a brand that expects to be checked. Proprietary blends that hide amounts are the opposite.
Hydrate Heroes®: Full Supplement Facts published for all three flavors on this site
05
Format that fits your day
Tubs are cheaper per serving and stay at home. Single-serve sticks travel, portion themselves, and are the ones that actually get used at a desk, on a flight or in a gym bag.
Hydrate Heroes®: Single-serve sticks, mixed into 8 to 12 ounces of water
06
Taste you'll repeat
The best powder is the one you finish. Heavy salt plus heavy sweetener is the combination people quit. Try before committing to a tub.

Buying FAQ
What should I look for in a sugar free electrolyte powder?
Sodium in mg and %DV, which sweetener replaced the sugar, calories per serving, whether the full ingredient panel is published, the format that suits your day, and a taste you'll actually repeat.
Is more sodium better in an electrolyte powder?
Not by default. High-sodium mixes are dosed for long, heavy sweating. For everyday use, a lower level is easier to fit inside your total sodium for the day. Endurance athletes and anyone managing a medical condition should follow their own coach or clinician.
Stick packs or a tub?
Tubs cost less per serving; sticks are pre-portioned and travel. If you hydrate away from home, sticks tend to be the ones that get finished.
How can I compare two brands fairly?
Put the two Supplement Facts panels side by side at the same serving size and compare sodium, sugar, sweetener, calories and the full ingredient list. Front-of-pack marketing isn't comparable; panels are.
